I have reviewed many popping shades from this matte range. All of us can find something in this range as at this price point, it is worth a shot. This one is a pretty subtle maroon with a moist matte formula to it. The pigmentation is satisfactory as well.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick RM 17:

This lipstick comes in a tester-like tube tester-like tube which I dislike to the core. The silver carton is more attractive than the lipstick tube itself.

“RM 17” is a beautiful shade, it is a subtle wine maroon sort of a color with a moist matte formula.

It is not a very deep or maroon color and the younger girls can try it as well. The color can be built upto  but then it might flake and deposit in lip lines. The lipstick feels apt for office too.

My problem with the lipstick is that it’s not as thick as the other shades from this range. I find it sheer to medium and if you layer it on, it kind of flakes and accumulates. Overall, a good light wear maroon lipstick which keeps lips moist too. It does not stain either.

This shade is very nice but I would like something opaque so I will explore other shades from this range.

Skin Tone: Fair to Wheatish

I am totally into matte lipsticks these days. I am trying different bold and bright shades from a few brands. I recently tried Lakme Enrich Matte lipstick in the shade “WM10.” It is such a nice dark mauve color that comes at an affordable price tag. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick WM10:

This lipstick comes in a tester-like tube which looks cheap. It has a matte silver colour plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colour cardboard packaging that has the product description printed on it, but the ingredients list is missing. The silver carton is more attractive than the lipstick tube itself. Still, the packaging is sturdy.

The shade code “WM10” is mentioned on the carton and on the back of the lipstick tube. It would have been better if there was some shade name associated with this lipstick. I ordered this lipstick online thinking that it would be a bright mauve shade. It actually turned out to be a dark mauve shade or rather a mauve with brown undertones. At first, I was a little disappointed, but it is a really bold shade to wear. It is also perfect for formal meetings. It will suit Indian skin tones as it is a very subtle mauve.

The texture of the lipstick is moist matte. It glides smoothly on the lips and doesn’t tug on the skin. You have to build up the color by applying nicely with a lip brush. It settles into fine lines if applied in excess. The lipstick does not have any hydrating properties and it does nothing to keep the lips nourished. The texture is lightweight and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. It does not give that thick or waxy feel. Prepping the lips well prior to the application is a must before applying this lipstick as it clings to the dry patches on the lips.

It doesn’t make a mess on cups and spoons. It lasts for about 5 hours leaving a tint behind after that which wasn’t very difficult to remove. It fades from the corners and the middle which looks uneven. Since this is a matte formula, lips need to be moisturized before application, else it makes lips very dry afterwards. It is not the best matte at this price range but completely in love with the shade.

• Transfers minimally.

• Highlights dry patches of the lips.
• Settles into fine lines.
• Looks a little patchy.
• Leaves the lips dry.

I won’t repurchase this shade, but I totally recommend it. This range offers shades for all skin tones. It is a true matte formula with a smooth texture. This shade has compelled me to buy more mauve shades.

Lakme has recently launched their “9 to 5 Aloe Naturale” range with various products. I have purchased a few lipsticks from this range and today, I am talking about the shade “Fuchsia Alley.” Now, let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale Matte Sticks Lipstick Fuchsia Alley:

Packaging: This entire 9 to 5 Naturale range comes with a beautiful packaging. This lipstick comes in a pretty, shiny green rose and pink ombre crayon type packaging that I have to twist up and down to get the bullet out. It’s a pretty, simple, lightweight, and attractive tube. It also comes with a nice black outer box with details on, but they all look same, so it’s quite difficult to identify the shade and also the name is not properly highlighted on the tube. It’s too small to understand. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful packaging.

Shade and Pigmentation: Lakme offers a huge range with 15 beautiful shades, but most of them are from red and pink families. Since long, I haven’t purchased any pink, so I picked up the shade “Fuchsia Alley,” which is a bright fuchsia pink color. This is a shade for all skin tones and looks absolutely stunning on the lips. I love how bright it looks on the lips. It has finely melted shimmer, which does not look overpowering at all. It looks very subtle and classy on the lips. Hence the shade is well pigmented and requires only a few strokes to achieve an opaque color, also covers pigmented lips.

Texture and Quality: These days most brands are coming up with metallic lipsticks and Lakme also has come into the game with this “Naturale” range. This lipstick has a soft and smooth texture that glides well without any tug. The formula feels so comfortable and lightweight as well. The lipstick has a natural metallic tint to lips, but not too shiny and not so noticeable either. It’s not like other shiny metallic lipsticks, but a very balanced one. It also settles down to a perfect matte texture and looks so stunning with a subtle glow. The formula is completely transfer proof, smudge proof and waterproof. I am amazed by the quality that looks beautiful without any mess.

As this lipstick has aloe vera, it imparts decent hydration to lips, which keeps lips soft, but if you have extremely chapped lips, you must need a lip balm underneath. By the time passes, it makes lips a bit dry. Generally, it never feels patchy but it’s better to exfoliate the lips before application. Sometimes, it clings to dry patches.

Staying Power: Coming to its longevity, I seriously never expected such results from this range. This lipstick lasts throughout the day, around 8-9 hours, and then it still looked good. Also, it can survive meals well. It never settles into fine lines, as a matte lipstick, it behaves so well. Only, it’s a bit difficult to remove the color. I prefer to use an oil-based remover and still there is a bit pink stain left on lips.

Overall, I am obsessed with this range and the subtle metallic matte finish it imparts. I don’t like shimmery lipsticks, but it has gives the perfect balanced look that makes me fall in love with it. If you are searching for a party-perfect pink lipstick that would last long, this is really a nice affordable option. The only thing is that Lakme offers 2.2g of product which is bit lesser than the usual.
